October 6 was a very big day for the house of Chanel—and Nicole Kidman too! The Oscar winner was front row for new creative director Matthieu Blazy's debut, and it was officially announced that Kidman will be returning to her former role as a Chanel ambassador. So which glam details did Kidman choose for such a momentous occasion? Long, glamorous nails and new bangs, of course!
Long nails on any other star wouldn't be a big deal, but Kidman has historically been very loyal to Team Short Nails. I've been following Kidman super closely since her Moulin Rouge! days and I honestly can't remember her ever wearing a manicure this lengthy before. Her nails were the work of manicurist Thuy Nguyen, who sculpted a set of long, oval-shaped nails in a neutral, milky beige color that fit the effortlessly cool vibes of Kidman's crisp white tuxedo shirt and pale blue trousers. The delicate, soapy shade didn't compete with her timelessly elegant ensemble but felt like the ideal finishing touch for a very high-profile appearance at a very high-profile fashion show.

The nails aren't the only notable detail of Kidman's Chanel look. Hairstylist Adir Abergel, who often works with Kidman, ushered the star into her “new bang era” with a feathery fringe cut long on the sides and shorter in the center for wispy, soft texture with a French-inspired twist. The sides blended beautifully into her layered blonde hair, which Abergel styled in equally soft waves.
Kidman isn't the only one having fun with her beauty routine during Paris Fashion Week. Kylie Jenner briefly returned to her old standby of XXL nails with a set of French-tipped stilettos, Meghan Markle made a surprise appearance at Balenciaga in no-makeup makeup, and Pamela Anderson shocked us all by ditching her signature blonde hair for a cheery shade of copper and an '80s-inspired haircut that referenced French cinema. Très jolie indeed!
